Episode 47: The Philadelphia Story

The-Philadelphia-Story-(1940).jpg

We’re going pretty far back in the Academy’s archives for this week’s Oscar Loser — all the way to 1940 for Wesleigh’s pick, The Philadelphia Story. In this episode, we rave about TLC programming in the early 2000s, share our favorite Parks and Recreations jokes for Galentine’s Day, and discuss just how delightful and saucy Katherine Hepburn truly is.

Episode 3: Table 19

For this week's Viewing Party, Katie and Wesleigh went to see Anna Kendrick's new movie, Table 19! Despite having a roster full of wonderfully comedic actors, this film was panned by critics — it's Rotten Tomatoes score is, ironically, 19% — but we found it delightful and decidedly plaid (Don't know what a 'plaid movie' is? You're about to find out!). In this episode we chat about weddings, why so many actresses are asked to cry in movies, and how much we love Stephen Merchant in this film.
